Domain names
Korax provides domain registration and renewal services for the top-level
domains .com, .ca, .net, .org, .biz, and .info.
Registering new domain names
Whether or not you're a Korax customer, you can register new domain
names with our
order form.
Renewing existing domain names
You can renew existing domain names by using our domain name renewal
order form. You don't need to be
a Korax customer, and your existing domain name doesn't have to be registered
with Korax.
Transferring from other providers is free, and your renewal years will be added to the
pre-existing registration term of your domain.
For example, if you paid your previous provider for two years of registration,
and you renew with Korax for one year, you'll have a total of three years'
worth of registration.
You can renew with us if the following is true:
- Your domain name is not on hold for non-payment or other reasons.
- The administrative contact e-mail address listed in the domain's registration is valid.
- It has been at least sixty days since your domain name was first registered, or last transferred to another registration service provider.
- Preferably, at least thirty days remain in the current registration period, to allow for any unforeseen delays during the transfer process. Generally, domain transfers from one registrar to another take about one week to complete.

Domain name registrant information
Every organization or individual who registers a domain name, no matter which
company they register through, is required to provide contact information about
the domain name holder. This includes name, address, e-mail address, and phone number.
This is not a policy set forth by Korax. Instead, it's a policy imposed on
registrars (companies which provide domain registration services to web hosts,
Internet service providers and end users) by
ICANN,
the organization that manages the Internet's domain name system. ICANN requires that
this information be made public. The specific agreement and clause can be found at
ICANN's site
here.
For information on ICANN's efforts to maintain registration privacy,

reseller of the wholesale domain registrar Tucows Inc. Customers registering
domain names through Korax are presented with a Tucows agreement to which they must
submit at the time of their purchase. The original agreement is at the Tucows
website
here.
The whois data comes from Tucows, for which Korax is a reseller. If the data cannot
be retrieved, the Tucows whois server is experiencing technical difficulty.
